Learning time is counted from the moment the tutor arrives at the learning venue.
Students are required to fill in their attendance on the Attendance Sheet brought by the tutor at every session.
If the tutor forgets to bring the attendance sheet, the student is required to fill it in at the next session.
If the tutor arrives late, the session will still run for its full scheduled duration. For example, if the tutor is 15 minutes late, the session will end 15 minutes later than usual.
The tutoring session must end when the scheduled duration is complete.
Other rules regarding teaching and learning activities may be set by the student or parent. Parents and students are free to establish their own guidelines to accommodate each student’s learning style and individual needs.
Students may reschedule their tutoring session by notifying the tutor or the institution at least 1 day in advance, so that a mutually convenient schedule can be arranged for both the tutor and the student.
If the student or parent does not notify, or notifies less than 12 hours before the session is due to begin, the session will still be counted as one meeting. The student is required to sign the attendance sheet for that missed session.
If a student feels that the assigned tutor is not a good fit, the student or parent may consult with the institution, and the institution will work to find the best solution. Typically, the institution will first evaluate the tutor’s performance, and if the tutor remains unsatisfactory in the following session, a replacement tutor will be assigned.
Tutoring packages are monthly, valid for 30 days (1 month) counted from the first session, with a 15-day grace period.
If there are circumstances that require the tutoring to be postponed or delayed for more than 45 days within one period, the student may contact Customer Service via WhatsApp to keep the package active.
Package renewals for the following month carry no additional registration fee — only the monthly tutoring package fee applies.
Tutoring packages are automatically renewed each month. If you do not plan to continue in the following month, please confirm before your deposit runs out or the tutor exceeds the scheduled sessions.
Payment may be made via bank transfer or in person at the Edupola office. Direct payment to the tutor is not permitted unless confirmed by a staff member.
All tutoring fees must be paid at the beginning of each monthly period or package. Payment for the first session may be deferred no later than 1 day after the first meeting between the student and tutor.
If a student cancels after completing the registration form, the registration fee as listed in the price list remains due and must be paid.
If a student wishes to stop tutoring while sessions are ongoing, the student or parent must notify the staff and tutor at least 1 day before the next scheduled session to avoid the tutor making an unnecessary trip. Notification given less than 12 hours before the scheduled session will still be counted as 1 meeting.
If a student discontinues tutoring before the end of the period, completed sessions will be charged at the non-package rate.
We offer a 30-day refund guarantee for any remaining monthly deposit, in the event that tutoring is discontinued due to issues on the tutor’s side (such as the tutor never arriving at the scheduled location, or no replacement tutor being available).
